Parting out the 85 Chevy flatbed

Post by RebStew on January 30th 2010, 2:37 pm

I'm keeping the motor and trans and reece hitch.
Randy Turner is getting the frame and rearend to add on to his International to make it a roll back.
Corey is taking the front doors for the power window motors and the carpet.
Everything else is for sale. What do you need?

Flat Bed $200 firm~ $100 to a club member.sold

Lund Sunvisor $25 firm~ $10 to a club member.sold

Choo Choo Customs hood scoop. $30.00 firm~ $15 to a club membersold

Windshield $10.00

Nice front bumper $10.00 if you take it off $20.00 if I do.

I have couple extra rims. 5 bucks each.

Tilt with wheel w. GMC horn button, dimmer switch doesn't work but easy fix. $10.00 if you take it out $20.00 if I do.

Lots of little extras. If you need anything speak up.

We are not sure yet. Just too nice of an engine to let go. We have a small block ready but you never know. If we small block the 58, Coreys truck will get the 454. It should run real good after you take it out of that 2 1/2 ton truck and into something lighter.

You guys south of the river never cease to amaze me,take a prefectly good truck and cut it up but since the damage is done I might be interested in the trailer hitch since the frame is the same width as my 66 F250.

Steve, are you still needing help with the truck bed tomorrow? You had asked for help after the meeting. So since the meeting is canceled I didn't know if you had moved this event too.

It's going to help out alot of people. I need an engine and trans and they are known good ones. Corey wants the doors. I'm also using the AC stuff. Joe is getting the bed and some other stuff. Randy is getting the frame to make a roll back for his old International and I have some other stuff sold to non club members. Truck is worth more in parts than to sell outright. I'm not into the cash but helping out friends is a good thing. Ripping a good truck is no big deal when it comes to a Chevy. I can get another and it will be just as good. I know you Ford guys have to search and search but it's easy to come across a good running Chevy. There is one on every block. Very Happy

Yea right!!!!! Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes There is no reason to part a ford out they run so long it takes forever to wear out!!! The reason there's more fords than chevys is the chevy's rust away and why would you part out perfection!!!! afro
