Re: 52 Chevy, mild custom
If you don't want the van, tell them you have a friend who will give them $600 today. If I recall, it's got some frame rot from the description I read.

Re: 52 Chevy, mild custom
i will be down in the next few days to pick up the chopp topp!
as for the van previously posted . i own it. there is no rot what so ever on the frame. when i first got i fixed what tiny bit there was.
van over all is not bad. it could use a clutch very soon tho. witch would be a simple easy job.might not look like it but its been pretty reliable to me. i lived in it for a while

Anthony post an intro man.
Let me know what day you'll be down, if you can bring a few hands to push this big ole beast up on the trailer that would be good. depending on the day i'll see if any of the scroungers will give us a hand....

I was just going by this line from the Craigs List ad - lot of the rust on the frame has been fixed there still is some rust but not to bad the van would be great to go to fishing trips camping trips ext
As for the clutch, with it being a three speed, that sucker could be changed out in an hour and a half, maybe less

Re: 52 Chevy, mild custom
If we knew what day and a close time we could have a few people ready. Saturday we will be working on the Desoto and could run up the street to push the cars around.

Riggs asked me to update this...
The guy called and wasn't able to make it tonight as planned. So, it has been rescheduled for after the work session on my DeSoto on Saturday. Planned for between 11am and Noon.

Re: 52 Chevy, mild custom
Thanks Howie, Benjamin and Kenny for showing up to help push the chop top.
Anthony was waiting for a friend of his to show and never did. Anthony called said it would be 9-10 pm before he could get there. I rescheduled for saturday. It will be more likely 12-1 not 11 to noon. If anyone wants to stick around and help it will be appreciated. Anthony is suppose to bring 3 friends of his.
