Nov 8th is on a Saturday. Small quarters so be prepared to work if ya come. Who's coming? Very Happy

The Falcon leaving it's hole

Randy Vickers only charged us gas money for the tow. Thanks Randy!

The Gasser is in my garage ready for her work session.

We will be trying to get a few things done. Pulling the side glass, getting the rearend set up and installed and some metal work and welding on the fenderwells and firewall.
Amy's going out tonight to gab pop and food. Any requests?

We didn't have a bad work crew going on. Myself, Chad, Charlie, Dennis, Ronnie, Corey, Benjamin, Johnny Stamper, Cole, Doug, Jeff and even Terry(Puddin head himself) drove down from Ohio to help out. Before we got dirty Amy fixed a bunch of pizza, cookies, brownies and candy in general. lol We watched a new hot rod flick I had just got in the mail, while we grubbed out.
A littlle meeting about club politics went on and then off to the garage. A small meeting about the future look and what we need from the gasser and then it was on.

When we first hit the gasser it was like a swarm of killer bees. Some of us could find a spot to get to because it was covered.

Front fender had to come back off

The rest of the glass was coming out one way or the other.

Terry with his knowledge of Falcons came in to play a few times.

Glass was out and time for some firewall welding to cover up the big hole left from the shock towers.

Corey bending the metal to make a tight fit for the welder.

While this was going on the work on the rearend got started. Cleaning the rearend from any rust or grunge it had on the inside. It was talked about and the spring perches were ground off and moved to the top of the rearend to give it more room for the 10" wide tires.

I gave 'Dog the grinder with the cut off wheel and told him to be carefull."If ya hit it wrong it can break and shoot through your jugular vain in your neck and you are done!" He went through one wheel and ask for another. I heard the grinding stop and he was rubing his neck. I thought he was joking around but nooo! The cut off wheel broke send pieces flying through the garage. It must have just nicked his skin 'cause I didn't see a cut but It freak him out I bet. lol.. Glad your okay Dog!

It seemed everyone was getting a little too into their work so Doug figured he'd break the ice by blowing in Coles ear.

Cole didn't seem to be liking it much so he moved on to Terry. (note the look on Terry's face Laughing )

I popped in another new movie I got(Yanks Tanks) about the cars in Cuba. Great flick by the way. As you can see some of the guys liked it too.

Little more work on the rearend and it was ready for the 390 pig.

Ronnie set the rearend up so it was at the right angle and then I was ready to do my super weld job! scratch
The weld just balled up. Man! what gives? I screwed with it enough to get it to stick then stopped.
:elephant:
Slowing down to take a breath and then heading in to watch Speed TV and eat some more pizza.

We kicked back in the living room thanks to Amy covering the couches with sheets and done some bench racing for a while. While Big Dog was talking about a crank welding itself to a rod I got to thinking about that weld. I let it out "I know what's wrong with the welder!".... We rapped up the night and a was getting ready to get cleaned up but I couldn't. Back out to the garage. I yanked the rearend back out and cleaned up the welding spot. took off the long orange cord we had plugged it into and plugged it directly in the outlet. I then finished the weld on the perches and the welded up like they should have. The cord was robbing the power.

Thanks a ton for coming guys I had a blast! Even our work session can turn into a mini party.
6 big pizzas
4 bags of chips
2 1/2 cases of pop
2 dozen chocolate chip cookies
pan of brownies
some penny candy.
And a ton of work done on the gasser!

I'd say this work session was a success!!!
