So I traded my 34 Dodge off. I'm now the owner of this Plymouth. I had a few offers at the Pumpkin' Run for my 34 Dodge. One that most of the guys there got on me about was turning down a 51 Merc 2 door. I'm not CRAZY about a Mer' so I passed on it and a few more that didn't look bad. I settled on Vickers Plymouth. Some may be scratching their heads but I know this car and have driven it myself to shows. It sits on a late model frame with PS, PB and more comfort than the last few cars I've owned has.
Is the Plymouth road worthy as my beaters are???

.
The old Plymouth has been in my site on more long hauls than any other club car has. Southern Kentucky, Northern Ohio, Indy as well as a few local shows.

46 Chevys with the roofs hacked off are as cool as 51 Mercs but I want something that will get me down the highway when I want to go.

Overlook my old 34. I didn't have any clear pics of the Plymouth. As you can see Vickers was still on his RAT ROD kick Rolling Eyes

He took off the mags and replaced them with a set of old rusty rims and a junkyard set of ground white wall. I didn't want it sitting in front of the house with those wheels. I had Corey and AJ scrub the WWW and I tossed on a set of Desoto hubcaps just to get by till I find some cool wheels.

How much work would it be to paint that car? I want to see some pics of it with clean whitewalls and caps on it.

This was actually John B.s post. He didn't notice that I was still signed in. A downfall of sharing a computer.

Satin black, wide whites, Cad hub caps or BLACK rims with baby moons (Spiders are way to expensive), Straight thru seamless mufflers and 3" chrome cannons (no stainless), Lowered, 49 Lincoln tail lights, Frenched headlightd, nosed, decked, shaved, keep the center brake light, minimal amount of pin stripe

Oh yeah, orignal style bumpers.

or
Satin black, 17" Cargar ss w/black walls (no white letters) straight thru seamless mufflers and 3" chrome cannons (no stainless), raked with the front a little lower than the rear, all the chrome and stainless painted to match the body, dark tinted windows. The only chrome would be wheels and cannons.

The carnage begins! The front bumper was yanked, old heater and the hood was pulled off to get to some work on the firewall. I need to find a set of hinges for the hood. Driving on the highway leaves the back of the hood popping up to 3" and I'm waiting for it to fly off the car.

20 small holes in the top of the cowl had to be filled. this is where the felt for the hood use to be as well as a few hole in the upper firewall.

My back was acting up so Corey came out to help a bit. Thanks you son!
