Vicki Nova's 1959 Apache pick up Project
John Howard and his better half are building a 1959 Apache. I will start this and hopefully John will update us on the fun as he goes..

here is a movie of me starting after sitting for 12 years....69 327...putting that in her 1957 Chev.....running on a gas can, look for the Moths flying out of the motor!! too funny..

Pulled the 383 stroker motor out today, mated it to the turbo 700R, taking it off to the car wash, next, Pull the 327 out of the 59! Pictures will follow in a while.....

was trying to fingure out what that motor is, Clearly cast 5.7L G SGI Casting #10243880 here is a GREAT site to find out what you got:

Turns out the Apache is getting a 1995-2000 Vortec Crate 350 with the ZZ4 Roller cam and 1pc. rear seal and the GOOOD flowing Votec Heads.....sells new for long block 2288.00 + $100 core should run killer in that old indian...:0).....

Man, that motor's orange. I always thought they were supposed to be blue. At least that's what the Big Dog taught me. (had to do that in his absence)

OK Boys and Girls, Dog House off the 59, motor being pulled tonight, Volare' will be going in in the next two weeks, as well as the rear end, the the ZZ4 350 will be installed, stay tuned, I will be posting some pictures later....John....

WINTER TIME FUN FOR ALL.....
Now that my 48 Panel is done, and GONE....I want to start back on Vicki's Apache.....Anybody want to learn some Fab work and welding??? This is a BIG project from the Clip install, Tilt Wheel, Rear End, Pulling Springs to lower, Re-Wire, and installing hanging pedals and the power booster re-location to the firewall, all will be touched on this one.....Any takers???
