It's been a few weeks since working on the 27. When we took the 54 out to the property I had Johnny bring back the 16 gauge sheet I am using for the bed sides. It's horrible not having a truck to haul stuff. Evil or Very Mad Thanks again Johnny! Amy and I cut out the sides yesterday. I hoping after the weekend I can get Johnny to run over to Mike's at Cornfield Customs with the sides. I'm going to get Mike to run a body line on the sides and do the bend on the top. I was hoping to run across a brake/bender on the cheap side but I'm not having much luck with that.

Did the layout for the raised panel for the bed sides tonight. I am almost done and ready to take them over.

I don't normally farm out work but I didn't have a break big enough to bend the tops of the bedside. I knew Mike had that huge break and it gave me a reason to check out the new shop.

I had everything marked already. While I was there I had him toss it on his fancy electric bead roller and do a raised panel in the side.

I bought this sheet of metal a while back. It's suppose to be 16 gauge. I'm glad I took it to Mikes 'cause even if I had bought a bender it wouldn't have done the job I don't think. This stuff is more like 14 gauge. Thick! Mike's bender had trouble but he manages to get it where it needed to be.

I have some picture of the new shop and projects Mike is working on. I'll post them over in the photo threads under "Cornfield Customs new digs".

I was teasing her and told her most of that stuff would go on the shop truck, she wouldn't let me close to the box then.

When she makes this face you know to stay away from her stuff or she's gonna chew your arm off. Laughing
