Re: Ford wide five stye rims. 16" X 4"
Did you get some hubs to run these or just starting with the wheels? The wheels were the same from '36-'39, but the '36 hubs are different. How many do you need? I may have some extras, but I am running 2 on the front of my roadster so I will have to make sure I am covered...

Re: Ford wide five stye rims. 16" X 4"
I bought a complete 39 front end. I still have to figure out something for the rear. I'd like to run them on the rear too but haven't checked in to seeing if I could use some type of adapters for a later model rearend or some way of converting a late model rear to use the wide 5 drums or just get the pre 40 rearend. I'm not sure if a pre 40 axle would hold up to what I want to drop between the frame rails. As for how many? I'm looking for 4. I have one lined up if it comes through so I'll take what I can get at this point. If you get a chance to check your stock and have a spare PM me with a price. Thanks man...

What width do you need? I think mine is the wider one. I had a narrow one but sold it.

If I could come across two wide ones for the rear would be cool. Are the wide ones a split rim?

Re: Ford wide five stye rims. 16" X 4"
The truck rims were 5" I believe, and still one piece - pretty hard to come by. The way you like to drive your cars I would definitely reccomend a stronger rearend. Speedway sells an adapter to run the wide 5 wheels on a late model rearend, but you would definitely need to run the stock wide 5 hubcaps with them because they are a whole lotta ugly...

Re: Ford wide five stye rims. 16" X 4"
At least they make them..I kind of figured I was going to get stuck with the caps on the back if I used adapters. It's funny, while Chad and I was in TX we came back north through a few states and ran into a garage with some old model A and some other old Iron. There were 4 hubcaps to fit the wide five wheel sitting on the sidewalk next to their door. I didn't think too much about them because I didn't have the front end at the time. I've always like the look of the wide 5's of 20's and early 30's rods.

Hey Steve I have one extra wheel, so with junkyard junky's that would make you a pair for the front. I also have a complete set of matching hubcaps if you are interested. Just let me know...

With the rim that would be enough to get everything I need to build the roller..
