PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. - The world's most famous groundhog saw his shadow Monday morning, predicting this already long winter will last for six more weeks.
Punxsutawney Phil emerged just after dawn in front of an estimated 13,000 witnesses, many dressed in black-and-gold to celebrate the Pittsburgh Steelers' Super Bowl victory the night before.
"There's significant buzz from the Steelers win and quite a few Terrible Towels floating from the crowd," said Mickey Rowley, deputy secretary for tourism in Pennsylvania

This breaks my heart. Right now the suns out so bright it's no wonder the hog saw his shadow, and they're forcasting snow for tonite and it's supposed to get colder by Thursday.

A hot stew made with fresh groundhog meat would be just the thing on a cold Feburary evening.

You know that sounds pretty good about now.

I belive your right dead groundhog on a plate is in order!! And to wash it down we need a little frostie the snowman!! ITS pretty once but this was crazy.

I say lets steal the blind little fur ball, put him in the crock pot and see what comes in 6 weeks.
