Oil Leak???

Post by vettespd29 on April 5th 2009, 9:09 am

I have a stupid question about an oil leak I have on my 49 F1. I knew when I got it that it had an oil leak, but it looked to me to be coming from the filter (bad seal, or cross thread, or warped...) but today I pulled it out of the garage to get a good look at it, and it seems to be a bigger pain than I was thinking. It looks to be coming from the intake near the dist. Is this something that is some what common for a 390 big block ford? I know the motor was just rebuilt and has about 150 miles on it could it be he twisted the gasket or bent the intake maybe? Just looking for some thoughts.
