No More Cancelled Cruise Ins!

After hearing Sonic gripe about being double staffed and worried the rain would keep everyone away I cancelled the cruise tonight. I thought that a couple people may show up so I drove the toyota out to tell everyone we pulled the plug for tonight. There was 2 cars in the lot already. We made small talk for a while and then the cars started pouring in. Even with the dark clouds it started hopping. I called Amy and had her throw the music gear in the 57 and come on out. We had a good time. Lots of new faces too. I know from now on our cruise ins are rain or shine. No more cancelled shows. If it starts raining then it just rains! I think Amy said that Ron counted 44 cars. Not bad for a cancelled cruise in.

Steve, I'm using your experience on our clubs forum, to help me make a point about cancelling for rain.

I heard alot of people say how surprised they where to see certain people there. Because if it even clouds a little they don't come out. But guess what they where there. It was a great turn out even for a canceled cruise. I had a good time.

Yeah. I felt bad sitting there in the Toyota with all the hot rods pulling in and no music or even a car. After Amy showed up with the 57 and the PA I felt a little better but it was a lession learned the hard way. I'll post pics in a bit.

Yeah I showed up in my daily too. I felt bad too. I heard it was canceled but thought I'd drive by and there was about 12 cars there at 6:05pm. lol

I can't believe that Vickers put this R on this decal. I tried to pick it off but he was getting mad. I'll have to wait till he's not watching. What is a rat rod anyways?
