1952 chevy

Post by junkyard junky on June 2nd 2009, 1:31 pm

Just picked up a 52 chevy sedan. Pretty solid. Came from out west. Its in a lot better shape than the 53 I had. Got it in the building and pulled the front wheels and drums off. I'm going to have the drums turned. hey looked good. Pulled the wheel cylinders off and let them soak over night. Plan on rebuilding them. Pics to follow.

Right now I can't decide on stock rear end or open drive with an automatic.

After I got the brakes off.

Picked up the shoes, hoses, and wheel cylinder kits. Ordered spring pads from the local dealership thanks to my friend sammy. Going to look for a brake booster and master cylinder tomorrow.

Thanks.

Picked up the spring pads. $9.54 for the set. Also picked up the pedal/brake assembly. Going to cut the old pads off the rear end tomorrow and tear the rear apart. Needs to buy some pads for the wheel cyl whome.
