Buzzard Bait

Post by Roller Coaster on June 15th 2009, 6:02 am

I am going to pick up the newest addition to the DropMob family tonight, project Buzzard Bait (unsure on the name).

According to the previous owner, it was an old Chicago Police car back in the day. Maybe when I pull the back seat out I will find Jimmy Haffa. Wink

I don't believe they will! If they do I hear there is a decent group of guys based out of Newport, Kentucky that may be into older automobiles. lol!

I don't know, any organization that has "scaring babies and little old ladies with open headers since 1964" as their slogan must be a bunch of hoodlums. And associating with John B, I don't know.... Laughing

I've heard about him. Better not let him bring guys to your house, they will trade you import stuff for your classic American iron.

That old car looks slick. I guess it's pretty much stock.....for now?

Yes, hoping to keep it close to stock....4.10 rear end needs to go, but I am hoping to keep the 216 or swap it for a 235. I want to build a traditional, period correct hot rod (dual single barrel carbs, slip manifold, glass packs, etc.).

Sound like a good plan. I'd say we may have some parts but Bailey's crew just got it all. Very Happy
Do you have any plans for the body? French the headlights or any of that stuff?

drop the XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
EDITED BY STEVE!
That's not cool. If we found out other clubs were pushing our club members to drop out of the Scroungers and join their club what do you think would happen? The Sgt. at Arms and a Enforcer would pay them a visit to sew their lips shut!
We will not be a club that trys to steal members. We don't need to. We wouldn't want it to happen to us and I wouldn't want it happening to them. Club names carry their own reputation and we have a good name. We have had members leave clubs for ours but it's of their own will and I even talk to them about their old club before approving their application for a prospect. I know it wasn't meant to be a big deal but you have to watch what you are saying. As one of the most active clubs in the area we have to watch how things are said. Our reputation speaks for itself and saying stuff like this knocks us down a few notches. It goes both ways too. If anyone comes to a club member and ask them to leave the club, which I have heard has happened I'd like to know about it. I'm not trying to make it hard to get into the club but a member of another club has to have a good reason for wanting to come into our family. So just jumping from someone else to us is not that easy to do.
