Hot Wax and cruise in July 11th

Post by Lady rebel on June 25th 2009, 7:59 am

Glen Lay has been working with the city of Bellevue to put on a little cruise. Last year a few of us showed up. It was nice. This year there will be a limit of 50 cars. You can get there as early as 1:30pm. But you don't want to sit there all day in the sun... So we plan on going down around 3:30 or 4 pm. The band Hot Wax will start at 7pm. Fireworks around 10:15pm. It will be at Bellevue Beach Park 100 Ward Ave. Bellevue, Ky (down at the river).

That's the weekend of the Googuys in Columbus. That's where we'll hang our hat for the weekend.

Must be nice to be able to drive cross country just to watch a race car. I'm too poor to do that stuff now a days.

Man, I wouldn't consider driving to Columbus going cross country. I drive about that far back and forth to work in a day....................Whatever!

I was talking about the ones out west. I know Columbus is not that far.

So were you talking about Raceway Park? That's about the same distance and it's due west. I guess I just don't get it. I don't understand the potshot about going to the races. I have't been farther west than Clermont, IN in years. We went to Bowling Green but that's just a little farther than Sommerset which most on here cruise to. When we go, we camp and don't have motel reservations and the like. That is so we can go to the next event. People on here have different likes and wants. Some like to drive to get an ice cream, some like to drive to watch top fuel dragsters and have the smell of NITRO in the morning, and some like to just drive down old highways. That's fine with me, just don't crucify me because we go to the races instead of some of the other activities.

You are being overly sensitive again Doug. I could care less if you go to the race track or get an ice cream. I was just making a joke and small talk.
I like the race track and ice cream so there! Laughing
When you wake up in the morning get out of the other side of bed please. :|

I need to know if any clubs members are going to this. We said we would do it but it sounds like everyone has other plans. I need to know so if no one is going to make it I can tell the city we are not coming.
