Goodguys Columbus
Spent the weekend on the State Fairgrounds. Visited with old frends from Columbus, Nelson, Noble, Kenny, D i c k and Gina. Was good to see everyone again. Saw the old Land Speed racer from down by Hamilton and Stretch, Dave, Spoons, Blacktop Bandit, and Squiggy from twonfrom town. Ran into a few members of the Traveling Division of the Scroungers; Vice President Vickers and JBS10 from down Newport way. Rumor has it that the Dog was there but we have no proof. Also ran into this fellow, he seemed to always be on the move.

We camped next to Bubba and his son. Lots of Hot Rod, Trailers and motor homes in the campground there along with

A few pictures of the happenings and probably more to follow...............

Yeah, Madonna forgot her cell phone. We've gone for years w/o one so I guess it was no real handicap. We were headed over were Carlos made camp but it started to get a little damp so we ducked in the buildings to stay dry. We did better than our bed. It was pretty moist. Thought maybe we'd catch you up at 161 and Bush Blvd but there weren't any loose Dogs up there Saturday nite. Next year you;ll have to take your camper and spend the weekend.

Vance was there in his coupe

Scott Sullivan had the Cheese Whiz car out

Madonna and Bobbie Backus

Bob Rhodes

This S-10 was laying frame on Bush Blvd and somehow it got away from him. He hit a pole dead center in the middle of the front end so hard that it almost knocked the bed off. Lucky that no bystanders were hurt.

It's the first time that we took a tripod along to try some night shots. Some turned out ok. It was fun trying to get shots of the cars on the street at night. I think that's one of the biggest parts of the Columbus event. I know it's a big draw for my running companion.

How about a big skate

That was probably one of the jacka$$s that still can not firgure out why mini truckers get a bad reputation within the automobile community.
