I WON THE LONG DISTANCE AWARD!

JUST A BIG THANKS TO THE CLUB FOR AWARDING ME THE "LONG HAUL" AWARD SUNDAY! (ABOUT 180 MILES) GOT MY $10 BACK FOR REGISTRATION AND DROPPED THE REMAINING $40 IN THE TANK ON THE WAY HOME. FIRST TIME TO ACTUALLY RACK UP SOME MILES AT SPEED ON THE INTERSTATE SINCE I COMPLETED THE CAR'S MECHANICAL RESTORATION LAST YEAR. I THINK LISTENING TO THE MUFFLERS RAPPIN' ALL THE WAY HOME WAS THE BEST PART OF THE TRIP!
BY THE WAY, ME AND MY DAUGHTER WERE THERE IN THE RED 56 CHEVY NAMED "CANDY CANE".

and JB judging by the s10 in your avatar, I gotta say that is one of the cleanest 1st gens done around here, there only one other that is built really solid and clean (roller coasters)

Thanks for the complements! Me and the family are heading right through your area again next week on our way down in the smokies, staying through the Shades of the Past weekend. Originally planned on driving the Chevy again but there is just no way to pack all our stuff in that car. Going to have to drive the 64 Galaxie so all is not lost!
