there was 2 shows going on with in a 1/2 mile of each other, the labor of love show appeared to be a big FLOP (of course I was there early around noonish) hardly any cars there at all.., Maybe it picked up but that used to b e a good show years back, I guess they must have pissed off a bunch of trophy whowers (whores)... It was pretty sad amount of cars.. The other show had a good turn out, drove by and waved did'nt stop, thats how I roll...lol

All said and done, there were 130-140 entries at the end of the day. Then again, 130 cars on that fairground looks like slim pickins.

Saw you drive through but didn't get a chance to say Hi.

If me and the FAM DAMILY don't leave for the LAke I will be there, I will know more by Thursday, I usually don't miss INDY (ALTHOUGHT last year was a wash for me).. If I go it will only be for Sat afternoon and Sunday morning, we have Football on Saturday morn, and Volleyball on Sunday evening, does'nt leave much time for a Kentucky Boy like myself to get drunk hit the gentlemens clubs up there and pass out at the drive-in campground does it Razz ...Oh well there is always Bowlingreen in October (I WILL BE THERE IN THE SAME SPOT AS EARLIER THIS YEAR IF ANYBODY IS INTERESTED)...

Hey....If ya go over to ORP this weekend, maybe I'll run into ya and we can split a $7.00 tenderloin, $4.00 fries and a $5.00 soda. Now that's some gooood eatin! You're right about the Clubs. They used to have more of them in that area than Drug Stores.

I'm pretty sure we're going to BG this fall. May not go in the Merc, may go in the little brown wagon instead. Until I can get some sort of air ride on the old Merc it's almost torture riding that far in that old pig. We'll look ya up down there for sure. Hopefully we'll be crewing for the big old Hemi Coronet. We'll just look for the Goofballs with the window fans hanging in the trees down by the river.

If it gets as cold as last year you might have to look for a big bon fire, it got down right cold last year, pop's almost had to give some one a fat lip for stealing our fire wood, but I talked him down pretty quick, he has a nasty temper when hooligans mess with his firewood....

I guess a man's gotta stand for something. Man it as over a 100 every day down there for the NHRR this June, Are you saying we should pack our ice skates and play some hockey on the river? We'll hopefully be sleeping in an enclosed car trailer. What they do is pull the racer out and sleep on air beds in the trailer.
