It was Indy 2009, 6 days @ the track!!!

Bill and Ryan, where were you guys? I looked for Dennis and Dave too but no luck. Some of the best racing of the weekend was Sunday nite about midnight. It was wet at times, cold at times, sunny at times but never really hot. Saw the new Mustangs beat the Hemis and the Corvettes in Stock Eliminator. Ford is dumping some big time cash in Drag Racing, finally after about 40 years. Saw the "cheater" John Force get in a fist fight at the end of the track. That's a long story in it's self. (Hopefully cheaters never prosper) Saw what could be the last time the Snake is involved with a car at Indy and the end of Kenny Bernstein's 30 year relationship with Budweiser and probably Warren Johnson's last trip in a Pro Stocker. Had a great time, drove the Mercury and it was sooooo dirty at the end, it looked tan instead of black. Burnt up a lot of fuel in the campground much to the delight of the people over there but not for my wallet. It's really hard to post a few pictures from the 1200 photos that I took over the 6 days there.

The new Mustangs at tear down after winning in A/S, A/SA. and AA/S. It was rteally neat to finally see the Forda win something over there. They haven't done much since Bob Glidden quit.

In my opinion this has always been and probably always will be the best car show in the country, bar none. The cars are not only good looking but the fastest in the country in their respective classes. That's why for 55 years it's been called the "Big Go".





They ended up having three night sessions even though nothing was originally scheduled to run after dark.
