Here is Bill Tate and his gasser. When he was ready to leave he told me he wasn't going to get nutty. As he fired it up everyone went on the road to watch. I told Terry he wasn't going to get on it. He bet me a buck that he would. Well I lost a buck.
Heres the bad news. We stayed for about and hour or more and then headed out. We was getting on the highway when Bill called and told me that he snapped an axle doing the burnout. True posi, one wheel was still turning the other wheel and he krept it all the way home. Keeper kept the axle from slipping out I guess. If you turn up the volume you can hear it snap right before he lets out of it.

I knew stock axles wouldn't live forever with a spool. I got the axle out and the splines are twisted 45deg. I'll post a picture tomorrow. I think my buddy Gil has an axle, I'll find out for sure tomorrow.

Post up some pics when you get time. I couldn't hear to good when I was on the cell. I got bits and pieces with the pipes roaring on the truck. I didn't hear it ring the second time. I seen you call back after I was home.

Gil had an axle, I just finished putting it back together.
Here's the snapped off end, it looks like it put up a good fight.

I'm going to Lebanon tomorrow and Daddy Katz for the Halloween cruise and I'm probably done for the year unless Bill has a Christmas cruise and the weather cooperates.

That's pretty wild. Glad you found an axle easy.
