Crankshaft/engine-sieze problems?

Ive been stripping my motor the past week and it all went relatively smooth until now. I took the first two pistons out, they were both froze in the cylinder wall, i went to rotate the crankshaft to get the third and forth pistons out and it will not move at all. Ive tried the breaker bar, and everything else i can think of. How do i get the crankshaft to move to get the other pistons out? Also there was a bunch of ground up plastic in my oil pan, no metal shavings. Anyone know what that is?

The ground plastic is probably timing gear. Try soaking the cylinders with penetrating oil from the top side.
What's the history of this motor?

did it turn to get the first two out? Like he said soak the pistons and walls and put a crank socket on the front of the crank after you pull the balancer and the take a breaker bar and work it back and forth until you can make a full turn. Dont try to turn it with the balancer bolt or you may break it off....good luck man

I tried the penetrating oil and let it soak overnight but that didnt help either. And no it didnt turn at all. Ill go buy a crank socket. Its a 1989 350 and from what ive been told it was pulled out of a truck in good condition and setting in a garage for a few years. I dont know much more about it than that.

Rob flip the motor sideways so that the hole is straight up and shoot some more WD40 or whatever spray you have down in it. That way the spray doesn't run out. Shoot in from time to time to keep a good amount of oil working on the rust or whatever is sticking..

Don't rush. Time is your friend to get it broke loose. If all else fails, try some Kroil. It's a creeping type penetrating oil. Very pricey, but it does the job when others won't.

Marvel Mystery Oil is another "creeping" oil you might try.
We used to use muriatic acid when we stuck 2 stroke pistons to clean the aluminum off of the cylinder walls. It would turn black and wipe off and wouldn't attack the steel. I wonder if it would eat the piston and rust enough to free a stuck motor?
Obviously you'd only try this as a last resort.

You'll probably get it to break loose eventually. Had a four cylinder Triumph sports car that was locked up bad. Soaked it forever. I mean like for a year. It was still in the car so I would go out and try to turn it with a breaker bar with a pipe over it every so often. Finally got it loose. Also did a 429 Ford motor once. It was out of the car but I didn't have any luck with that one. Finally had to drive the pistons out with a 2x4 and sledge hammer. Broke them of course resulting in lots of new parts and .030 overbore.

I walked in a garage down the street not too long ago and I seen a guy unbolt the crank and beat on the top of a couple pistons untill the crank and pistons fell out onto the engine stand legs. The engine is in someone car right now.

I've used PB Blaster alot to unstick rust parts. It works really good.
