Re: Monte Carlo SS
I'm wanting to go to a junkyard near by. I'll see if I can find anything. I've seen a couple of vehicles up in wisconsin that didn't have air conditioning. Might find a junkyard somewhere up there and see if they have it.

Im putting the 355 together this week. I got the block ready and fresh .010 .010 crank,.030 flat tops, and the humps i got from Rob are at the machine shop now. Hope to get it in the garage by next week. The 406 i put in my truck was meant for the Monte BBUUUUUUUTTTTTTT....well you know the story

That 355 will still be enough to get it to go.

Re: Monte Carlo SS
Now a day it may not be too bad but 20 years ago those caps would have found a new owner from some thief the first week they were put on. I had some regular caps on some wheels in the bed of my truck a couple years ago that got snatched. I called the cop to report it and the cop told me I was asking for it by leaving them in my truck bed???? I guess it was easier than bending over and getting them off my car if they would have been on it? Goofy cops.

Re: Monte Carlo SS
yea they cost alot more back before everyone started reproducing them.......i think i should keep the the new ones for my Velle and put the old ones on her car
....not sure how well that would go......since i already stole her engine for my truck

Re: Monte Carlo SS
Well Steve we were talkin about it being bigger than the one that everybody puts on the Monte hoods......What do ya think?........It fits real good over the center......Its just laying on there but i believe im gonna use it
......Lot cheaper than buying a cowl hood
