If you are talking about an arc welder I'd grab a mig.

....and when you have posted as many times as RebStew™ it changes to "Banned" but that won't stop him either!

I've have tried to use a stitch welder, got it from eastman and works OK. Hooks up to my Lincoln welder just like a stick but you kinda have to play with the adjustments to get it were you want it. I like it just don't use it much. Like the MIG with GAS. Much smoother. The best is a TIG but really kinda cost prohibitive.

I've done it a bunch, LOW amps, small dia 6013 rod...but use a 110V Mig with 75-25 mix will do much much better...flux core wire splatters all over the place....new kids on the block, that's a boy band....wasn't it???
