Kentucky State Police, Road Race

I got this in the club's email. I figured I'd pass it along. It said by invitation only and the club and or members has been invited.

2nd Annual Kentucky State Police
Trooper Island CRUISING FOR CAMPERS Road Rally will be held
Saturday April 10, 2010. All proceeds from this event will go to the Trooper
Island Scholarship Fund.

Driving your choice of vehicle, the rally will start at Kentucky State Police
Headquarters in Frankfort at 9:30 am. After driving the course over scenic
roads in one of the most beautiful areas of Kentucky and lunching with
fellow competitors, the event will return to Headquarters for the finish and
awards presentations.

This is a touring style event for teams consisting of a driver and navigator
who must follow specific driving directions while using observational skills
to answer questions. Points will be earned for correctly answering questions.
Prizes will be awarded to the top scoring teams. This is not a race but rather
a test of following directions and observation. Ample time will be given to
complete the course.

The CRUISING FOR CAMPERS Rally is not just about winning or testing
your skills, but having fun while doing something positive to impact the
lives of disadvantaged children by providing funds toward scholarship
opportunities. Please join us for food, fun and fellowship while supporting
this worthy cause.

Cost for this rally is $50.00 per car. Each car will receive a gift bag. This
event is limited to the first 50 cars registered. Entry deadline is April 7,
2010.

RALLY DAY SCHEDULE April 10, 2010

9:30-10:00 Instructions/ Briefing
10:00 Competition begins
12:00-1:00 Lunch/ Box lunch provided
3:00 Finish/ Awards

Participants will need to bring: a full tank of gas, pencils/pens, clipboard or
writing surface, and water or soft drinks for the drive.

Make checks in the amount of $50.00 payable to Trooper Island and mail
with the completed entry form to:
