Post by RebStew on March 31st 2010, 3:37 pm

I found a set of heads for a BBC but I'm not sure if these are the peanut port heads or ? Any of you big block guys know anything about them? Are they okay? I know they are not as good as a square port but right now I'm running these small peanut port heads and want to ditch them. This is what the guy sent me.
heres the number i found on the heads gm 9 t h 9 74 pass x 386781

Couldn't find a 386781 casting number listed. Found 336781 and they are for 1973-85 454 open chambered 113 cc heads with 2.06-1.72 valves. Sorry not a big block guy but this is what they may be.

I couldn't find them either. He may have the number wrong and has what you found.
I was hoping Joe the Big Block Guru would chime in. He may know them off the top of his head. I just don't want to drive ther and them be a set of peanuts.
