into your Garmin or Tom Tom and head that way on May 15th. The Carter County Cruisers will be hosting a Top 20 Car Show starting at 10Am and ending at 5PM. The reason behind this show is to help raise money for the upkeep and restoration of this Rowan County landmark. I can speak for the active club members when I say that we are honored that the people from the Community Center have asked us to help out with this project.

so here's the details...

Date - May 15, 2010

Time - Registration will run 10AM till 2PM - Awards are at 5PM

Registration Cost - $10.00

Awards - Dash Plaques to the first 25 entries...Top 20 Awards with some specialties

Games - Thats right we're playing alot of Games at this show, so bring the family and we'll do our best to entertain them. Push Rod Drop, Fan Belt Toss, Corn Hole and more to come. We'll even do Muffler rappin' if people ask for it.

Are we done at 5PM? The car show part is, but then activities move inside the gym for a Sock Hop...

Starting at 6PM (I'm sure they will actually let you in a little earlier though) The Community Center will be hosting an authentic Sock Hop. $5 at the door and loads of fun.


This is a great location people, ask Steve, he'll tell ya.

If you want to make a weekend out of it, hang around the next day and go to The Phelp's Lodge show in Morehead proper.

This is a long haul Denny. Almost 2 hours away. Amy and myself will be going. I'm not sure if anyone else up here will go or not. Everyone is getting the final tunes on their cars for the big race the next day. Anyone else wanting to drive down???

I plan on going Rain or Shine, being this is for a good cause. Unless it's canceled. I Mapped Quest this and I realize it's a ways down there. That's cool! Just let me know when and where that you would like to meet up.....Oh yeah, if anyone wants to ride down there with me, give me a shout. I have room for ya...Steve, my last long haul was 527 miles one way, so this will be like a field trip.

Yeah, it's supposed to be nice Friday afternoon into Sunday morning. So I'm looking forward to taking a cruise and meeting some rodders.
