custom shifter

Post by CustomCabby on April 14th 2010, 12:52 am

I was wondering what you guys have used for shifters for an automatic? I would like to make something custom and kinda along the lines of Puddinhead's Falcon shifter where you don't have a "safety button" that you need to press in order to shift. The truck has some kind of funky lever to shift that is hooked to the trans. Want to replace it with a cable and move the shifter over because when I raise my leg to brake or gas, my knee runs into it and pops it into neutral. I have an old home made brass golf putter that I am considering using. Any ideas?

I like my park and neutral lock outs on my stuff. I had a tall Lokar in the 34.
