Brent's 83 Monte

Post by Admin on May 29th 2010, 9:05 am

Some of the guys showed up at Randy's house to get the Monte up on the trailer. Brent had to work but we don't need the owner to get the ball rolling. lol. It's on it's way to the buckeye state to get some work done on it. Hopefully we will get to see some progress pics as the car gets put back on the street after spending a few years sitting on blocks in an alley here in Newport.

With a tag like this on the tow rig you know it will make it into the buckeye state safe and sound.

Some of the rough spots on the car

All in all it has alot going for it. I think it will make a cool hot rod.

Brent, Jr said he didn't think you had any center caps. I found 3 of my old Derby caps and I may have the 4th one in the basement. I'd have to dig. But there are at least 3 here if you want to run them. Cheapest price on earth. FREE! Just stop by next time you are close to the house and pick them up. They are pretty dirty from sitting in the rafters of the garage. I shot some water on one and it cleaned up pretty good. Some Mothers on the caps and a SOS pad on the rims and they would look pretty good.
I have to look but I think I have some fiberglass resin too if you want it for the hood.

Good deal. Shouldn't take too long to get it road worthy with everyone pitching in.

I found that resin and it was junk but it had the hardner in it. I pitch the bottle and kept the hardner. The next day I found half can of resin. So I have that down here and the 3 ralley caps whenever you get ready for them. Someone is always home through the day. What else are you looking for??? Someone else had an extra cap.. Who was that???
