Little help from above??
We just got some bad news. Amy's dad is not doing well at all. He has been fighting to get by for a few years now. It keeps catching up to him and he ends up pulling through. He has been having trouble walking and he got up out of bed and fell. He hit his head on the way down and messed himself up pretty bad. They called Amy and told her they are transporting him to another hospital to get ready for brain surgury. He has bleeding in his brain and are trying to get to it before it's too late. Amy just took off out of here to try to catch them before they transport him over to Ohio. I haven't heard from her yet so I have no idea what is going on. I was in bad shape yesterday and now I'm worse. I can't hardly walk or I would have drove up with her. I get pretty upset when she is upset and I feel bad I'm not there for her comfort. As most of you know I don't air private stuff too often but if you believe in prayer we sure could use it for her dad and to help Amy be strong in these rough times.

I spoke to my Father. You know you and your family are in good hands Steve. But don't let us be the only ones to aid in your comfort, you know who is the best for that job! Just remind your family to lean on Him, that's what He is there for!

Re: Little help from above??
Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts keep them coming!! Dad has been in and out of the hospital for the past I don't remember years. (bypass surgurys, stents, shoulders, broken tail bone, etc..) He went to the hospital on Thursday with a severe stomach virus. They should have kept him... I went to his house lots of times over the weekend to check on him. By Saturday night he was keeping everything down. Still not talking too good. I guess from being weak. My step mom called me sunday and wanted me to take him to the hospital because he couldn't walk too good and still need fluid. Of course he refused. So I told him I'll take him to the hospital after work on Monday if he wasn't 100%. He agreed. We'll my step mom can't count how many times she had to pick my dad up off of the floor from falling. He just couldn't walk. He hit his head and eye on a little night stand trying to get into bed. That wasn't so bad. But he fell another time and hit his head on his table and had his head stuck. So by Monday around 4pm. He went to the hospital. They gave him some blood, catscan, fluid, and a few more tests. At 9pm they said he was going to be transported to UC because he had blood on his brain. They didn't say how much blood or how major of a surgury it was going to be. Well of course I had to go see him. What else do you do? I called and called the nurses today of course got no good info. because of the new patient laws. I was supposed to be on the list of people to get this info. I was ready to pull the nurse through the phone if she said patient privecy one more time to me. My step mom was the only person on the list. She doesn't know what questions to ask or how to get stories straight. She told me this morning that UC has no idea what is going. About the blood on his brain or any surgury. I was bewildered to say the least. I finally got to talk to my dad about 6:30 this evening. He'll have his blood clot removed off the left side of his brain by morning. He'll be in his own room tomorrow. And he'll have to learn how to walk again with lots of physical therapy. I told him there was a whole army of people praying for him. He's a proud and strong man. But when I mention prayer or God he turns into butter and cries. So thanks to everyone again. I'll try to keep everyone posted.

You know how I feel about doctors. Your dad was transported in the middle of the night to have brain surgery because that hospital could not do what he needed and they get the paper work screwed up and they don't even know about your dad's blood clot on his head or why he's even at their hospital for almost 24 hours. Then you want me to go. I will be fine in a few days anyways. I don't believe in law suits but with the way doctors handle things now a days I understand why so many end up in court. As for those fancy metal crutches I pitched? I would have just cut them up and used the metal in a hot rod anyways.Lady rebel wrote:Steve I told you to go to the hospital. Re: Little help from above??
Dad's hospital mishaps happen all the time. A few months ago they told him he had lung cancer and then turned out he didn't. They always give him Moraphine. No matter how many times they are told not to. Those hospital calls and visits are never fun.. He's out of his mind and dangerous. But all I have to do is turn him over and pray for him. The nurse gives him a shot in the butt and he goes to sleep for a little while. Anyway the nurses and my dad are telling me 2 different stories. My sister took off work early so hopefully by the end of the day we'll have all the stories straight!

Re: Little help from above??
Dad does not need surgury!! The blood clot took care of itself. But I have faith that God took care of it. Next step is physical therapy to get his legs back. Thanks for all the prayers. God will bless you for them!!
