Road Rocket Rumble 2010

Not from the Rumble but a note worthy Crisp Touchdown Jesus.........


While all of you were running around down south, we headed to Indy for the Road Rocket Rumble and to meet up with some friends from over that way. I don't know about down south but it was pretty warm over in Indianapolis. We got a little later start than expected due to some problems with the old Mercury but after we got everything fixed it was off for breakfast and Indiana. We've been over there quite a few times but this was by far the biggest crowd of cars and people I've seen over there.

I don't know how they got in this Falcon but they drove it from Cleveland. Probably about 7 hours or more. I'd be a cripple for sure.

We came back home thru indy and then routre 40 (the National Road). By the time we got some supper and came home the back way there was a full moon and it was about midnite. A pretty long day when it started at about 5:30 in the morning.

My co-pilot was insistant on going. She spent some time with one of your buds during the contest (He was the fellow on the bike right down front).

I've been busy all week, but here are some shots I got.

Me and the wife hung out and talked with Gene Winfield for a bit. We had to take pics with him. He was a pretty nice guy.

Cool! Yeah, Gene signed a few friends cars when asked as he walked by. He had his Sharpie in hand all day in believe.

He signed 3 or 4 during the time we were talking, and I saw his signature on several other cars during the weekend. He was also giving skulls and bones necklaces to the girls. Notice my wife has one but not me...Guess I'm not cute enough!
