i took the plunge and bought that chrome kit, top one wouldnt work, i am begining to think that this alternator is posed. finially went back to the org top mount i had cut up and made to work. went to three different places to get a belt. one belt was extremly to long the other belt was 3 inches to short. finially went somewhere else. alternator is finially back on with the belt in place.... Smile

Must be a day of cars with starting issues, last week she was bumping over with the key today she doesn't have any power at the key switch ? The battery is fresh and charged .......

Took the header off took starter off and to oreilleys starter is perfectly fine come to find out my ground was not grounded good enough

no particuliar order still have to do the following before she hits the streets

tranny filter and fluid, triple check oil, exhaust welded back up or clamped, carb linkage figured out if i have to ill pull carb of cutlass i, driveshaft work still tryen to save a few pennies to have sent out for ujoints and carrier bearing installed.

when i put on the electric fuel pump and wired to the fuse box. i hooked it up to the wrong fuse. an very easy fix it turns on and off with a switch now.......

anyone ever put a carb on backwards lol, welp somehow i did that would explain why the throttle linkage was on the passenger side and not the drivers side. still need to figure out the linkage from the pedal to the carb...

ole clara bel was getting ready to be fired up the other day. turned the fuel pump on and got a leak up above the frame rail. going to run new fuel line soon. oh yeah by the way i love my house but freaken hate the fact of my garage under the house. lets just say i didnt sleep any at all today from the fumes. garage stayed up all day long along with all the windows... renee wasnt very happy but she understood about the fuel line rusted out....
