Columbus 7/9/2010
We went to Columbus last weekend and had a pretty good time. Thought maybe we'd see some one from here but no luck. The weather was beautiful except for the shower Friday afternoon. The good thing was that it stopped early in the afternoon so everything was pretty dried out by the time evening rolled around............

That was Friday afternoon. What were you driving and where were you parked? The thing is we are never at the car. I know people think these are lawn chair events but we never got ours out of the trunk all weekend of the "Show Car" nobody wanted.

I was parked in the Spectator lot. I was just there for the day. I combined a trip to the supply warehouse with my trip to the show. I was talking to Rob Fourtier (however it's spelled) when I thought I seen the car, then got side tracked and spotted it again as I checked out the stuff under the pavillions. Wish I could have done the whole weekend but I'm holding out to take the Ventura to Louisville so I can contribute to the decline of the NSRA.

Re: Columbus 7/9/2010
I'd like to go to Louisville in my Fairmont wagon if I could get about 2 or 3 others split the cost. It's a little pricey to join the NSRA and pay the entry and pay the gas and..........
I thought it looked like there were fewer older street rods at Columbus and more 50's and 60's cars. I thought I saw a ticket in the high 5000's but it seemed to me that the car count was down some.

It's actually cheaper to enter at Louisville then at Columbus. It's about the same distance for me.
I saw on Facebook that they said they had 6000 at Columbus. Don't know if it's rounded up or rounded down.

I got to save my dough. My co-pilot wants to go to the Blue Suede Cruise and I want to do the GG's in Bowling Green. That, and my exhaust took a crap on the way home. It kept getting louder and louder till it just could get any louder. Really don't want to drop much on the exhaust cause I want to try to put a V8 in it next summer. Don't want to throw any more at that old 6 than I have to. It sure uses it's share of oil. I'm right up there with BP.
