Re: Aryan's 73 Mustang
The last couple of days we have been digging through junk yards to get parts. The hard to find console was a huge plus. The seats will have to be recovered and one of the mounting brackets on the front seats will need to be replaced.
There is nothing in the Stang and the stuff that is(dash) will need work or replaced so finding this stuff is a huge deal. Aryan will have to figure out a way to come up with half the money for new foam and upholstery for the seats. He is now out of cash. We match what he makes to help him out. He is findng out how costly it is. When he gets some money and wants stuff for the car it goes fast.

Re: Aryan's 73 Mustang
Good score on those parts! Where did you find 'em? I assume it was from another Grande' coupe? Love the AZ plate too...I lucked out two summers ago and found a pair of mint Alaska 1976 plates for my TA still in the paper sleeve. Adds a nice touch and Aryan looks very happy to have it!

Re: Aryan's 73 Mustang
Believe it or not the parts came from Besslers. The guy cut me a deal on the stuff. Like that cool console for 10 bucks.

Re: Aryan's 73 Mustang
That's great! If you poke around Besslers you can still find some nifty stuff that comes through their doors once in awhile. And yes they generally are good about cutting you a deal if you buy a bunch of parts.
Again, glad to see things coming together for the 'stang!

Re: Aryan's 73 Mustang
I got alot done today. Aryan came out after school and helped get it back on the road. We had some problems but after it was all said and done the car is 10 times better than it was.

Re: Aryan's 73 Mustang
The traction? devices, I won't call them ladder bars was a huge problem. I could feel by the way the car left that something wasn't right. But they are gone and won't be back on it ever. I ran the evac system off the headers and then flipped the Cherry Bombs around and hacked the 2 1/2 out off and made them a straight thru 3" muffler. They had about 8" of 3" pipe welded to them already. I then ran a 3" X pipe off that and now they dump at the rearend.
