What a good chemical epoxi?(GAS)

Post by RebStew on Tue 4 Jan - 17:31

I yanked that float back out of the 49 and the JB weld just rolled off. It's filled back up with gas. I have used that on gas tanks a few times without any trouble. Not sure why it wouldn't work on that float. Maybe I just got lucking with the tanks? Do they still sell that old ribbon they use to have for gas tanks? It's been a while since I seen it. Anyone know of a ribbon or other epoxi that they have used and it worked of gas? I still have a month or so before I rip into Bertha. I would like to drive her around a bit. I drove that Caprice today and it runs good but to tell you the truthe it's a little embarrising. I'm not sure if I want to drive that hooptie around for another month. People look at you strange. lol
