Someone slashed my tires

Post by RebStew on April 23rd 2011, 1:26 pm

I had my truck parked over on Patterson St. last night. Someone took an ice pick or a fine screwdriver to each tire. They poked each tire 2 or 3 times. The back of the truck was up but when I kicked the back tires the outside ones were flat. The inner tires held up the truck. They hit Randy Turner's Dad in the same way. Small puncture, 2 or 3 times each on all 4 tires of his Ranger. That was about 4 blocks down the road. Some little kid told Randy's dad that a small black kid did his. It's hard to say for sure.
I got the truck out in Cold Springs on the property now. I guess I'll drop the insurance on it untill I can afford to buy some tires. Evil or Very Mad

I've been lucky and never had a car or truck messed with but I'm not in a big city either.

What size tires are they?

Been there. It really sucks! Guess it's was two years. They got one of the Ram Charger 35" tires and both rear tires on my Olds 98. They had gotten the tires on my neighbors Mini Cooper two doors down.
My neighbor with the Mini has had enough. She had her front window broken a couple weeks ago. Rock thrown through it. She put her house on the market.

I'm not sure. 16" but the correct size I'm not sure about.

Sorry to hear about it Steve. Fortunately I have never had anything like that happen to me at my home. HIt & run in parking lots, yes, many times. Stolen catalytic comvertor, yes. Purposely or vindictively flattened tires, not yet.

I guess the least expensive fix would be tubes wouldn't it?

With the weight I put on the back of that truck at times it may be better for new tires. I wouldn't feel comfortable with using them in a tire with sidewall issues. If it was in the thread I would.

My only comment is, "Some people are still alive only because it's against the law to kill them."

I don't know about killing them but they may feel like they were if I could catch one doing it. Bad thing is it's more than likely some young kid that can't even drive yet. I'm not too mad about the tires. Not like some would think. I'm more ticked off that I had to lay in the gutter (curb) while the rain storm was washing water over me trying to get a jack under the truck. I was soaked to the bone by the time I was done.
