$3.99 for the cheap gas?

Post by RebStew on April 26th 2011, 4:37 am

This is just crazy to me. I went out this morning and seen the cheap stuff at $3.99 a gal. I'm not sure how much hot rodding I'm going to be doing this year with the gas getting higher and higher.

We are going to have to find a couple thing the club can do that won't put $500.00 in gas in the hand of oil owners from just one of our runs.

Thats why I'm buying a dodge truck from a guy I use to work with. 24-25 mpg. Needs a bearing in the 5 speed trans but pretty good truck? Anyone need a 78 dodge 4x4 real cheap?

I thought about buying one of those dual sport street legal dirt bikes.

If it ever quits raining I will be on two wheels most of the time and need to do some more tuning on the 235 in the 37 to sweeze out a few more miles to the gallon as it might be the one I drive most of the time now. Thinking about sending a distributor to GMC Bubba in Indy and having him do a electronic conversion.

Wowzers, it is getting expensive on your side of the pond. Mind you, it's still relatively cheaper than over here in Limeyland..lol. I'm guessing it's around the $8-8.50 a gallon in your money over here right now. But we just keep on building and driving our cars. Most are just a bit more selective of what shows/drag meets we can afford to go to these days, and my mate has not long got his 1800hp 57 Belair on the road... lol! Rog.
