Any Damage From the Wind Last Night?

Post by Z-YOU on May 24th 2011, 3:14 pm

Just wondering if anyone else had any damage from the storm on the 23rd.

I've had a basketball pole, backboard & rim on one of those wieghted bases sitting next to the driveway for 15 years through all of the severe weather we've had and nothing ever budged it. Last evening my wife was looking out the back door to see how bad things were and a gust of wind pushed the darn thing over and hit the G6. Screwed up the rear door. I'm beginning to think that car is jinxed. It's going to be another out of pocket $$ deal because it won't eclipse the insurance deductable.

It was dark when it happened, so I really couldn't see the damage but I could feel that it creased the door.

I used some 2000 wet or dry on the paint scuff & then buffed it, so it doesn't look real bad, but it does show. I might see if I can get one of those paintless dent repairs and then air brush the small places where the paint got knocked off.

One way or another it'll get fixed. That's what we all do around here - we fix stuff.
