Anyone Have A Tool For This?

Post by Z-YOU on June 1st 2011, 11:53 am

I need to get this large C-Clip out of the torque tube on my car so I can check the rubber couplers on the inside. The gap between the holes where the pins go to squeeze the clip in is about 1 5/8". Anyone nearby have a tool that'll get it out? I looked at HF & Sears and didn't see anything or I'd have just bought it.

Tried the Pliers from Sears - No luck.
Ended up buying the long needle nose pliers in the pic below and grinding on them to make them fit at the correct angle & muscle the clip out. Should have just made my own tool in the 1st place.
