Cummins Auto Cruise In PICS & VIDEO

You got some good pics Joe. That one of Jeff sideways is killer. I hope someone got video of Randy with the police siren chasing me. Amy didn't get it on our camera.

I didn't think this show would be as good as last years. I was wrong. I was told that there would not be any free pass from the police this year to repave the road in front of the show. The State Police wasn't happy about what happened last year and Bracken Co. had a new Sheriff. The new Sheriff is a friend of mine but I didn't want to disrespect him if he was against it.

Early in the morning as I lay in bed I hear hot rods driving around outside. The I hear this window shaking, cammed to death car come around the corner and down the street. It's Mike's Nova that he just got running. It was shaking the house as it went by. After hearing the car I was ready for a fun filled day. If the show flopped I knew we would at least enjoy the ride there and back.

We met at Bobby Mackey's to start our run.

It was good to see Bill Kincaid out in his Nova and doing this run.




I don't normally beat the ol' 'Bird like I did when we left Mackey's parking lot but the girls in the back seat thought it was cool. I think they were laughing about it untill we stopped for gas. I don't think they were expecting it and it freaked them both out.

We had cars in both gas stations filling up for the run. It was cool just to look around at everyone's ride. Bad part is that with that many cars there was no way to get them in one shot through the day. I wanted to pull over at a few places to take pics but I didn't see any spot along the way that was big enough for us all to fit in.

A few miles down the highway untill we could hit the back roads.


We hit Rt. 10 and the temp on the Bird went from 220 to 190. It stayed that way the trip out. The back road was tree lined with some shade and plenty of country side to look at. Very nice road compared to Rt 8 too.

We were meeting up with some other gearheads on Rt 10. We rolled through the gas station to pick them up. I made a complete loop to try to get everyone in the station and as I was coming out I had to wait on half the cars to try to squeeze in. It was cool! I ask Greg to take the point in Roller Coaster. It was really nice to see the S10 ripping up dead mans lane to take front spot.
