1969 AMC AMX

Post by falconwagon62 on June 26th 2011, 6:31 am

found this popped up on C/L, price dropped like a rock, dude wanted it gone, it is ROCK solid, 390 V8, 4-Speed, Power Disc brakes, 3:54:1 Tru Trac, 140 MPH speedo, tacometer, factory Magnum's, a few extra parts, running and driving, I am going to take my time doing this one, this has been on my wish list for a while, high school...30 years or so... but only the 2 seat AMX would do, 1968-1970...numbers matching, going back stock, Big Bad Green with white stripes....anybody got any parts!!!!

When we were in High School my friend Rick (say that with your teeth clenched mister) had one in his front yard for awhile. His step dad liked to swap and trade alot. This one was a 290 car with a 4 speed. White with red & blue stripes that ran fron front to back down the center. Right across the snorkel hood scoop. Can't forget the traction bars either. In 1987 it was a teenage boys dream though.

30 years ago I had parts, parted a 68 and 70 javelins to get motors. The 70 had a ram air hood with some of the aircleaner parts and I threw it out since I was working on a 72,both the 68 and 70 were hit in the rear and had excellent front sheetmetal and interiors and wish I had room to store the parts as I could get some money out of those parts now.
