OKTOBERFEST SHOW

Post by Arieldouglas on October 14th 2011, 3:05 pm

I know probably none of you guys could come down but we're pretty proud of this show. Everybody is welcome and it's one of the biggest shows around. Last year there were cars here from at least six states, probably more. Just about all driven in. cheers Got a nice sized Falcon club. They usually have a good turn out. Even have their own class. Smile I'll have pictures after the show.

Sounds like a Great time! If I had a little bit more of a notice, I would've joined you. They sure have many classes for an Antique Show, as well as years. This event reminds me of Cruizefest Nationals that were held in Columbus some years back.

Yes, bring back some pics, we love seeing pics of cars we're not familiar with. Have fun!

Yea. That's the way it started. There is a local car club affiliated with AACA. Mostly all resto's but a few of what they call rest-mods these days. Anyway, the owner of the bank that puts on Octoberfest is friends with those guys and invited them to come with thier cars and it just took off from there. It's now one of the biggest shows in Tennessee. And right in my back yard. Very Happy When you come though you better leave your snobbery at the gate. All classes are welcome. sunny

I hope this link works. Got home a little while ago and wanted to get these on-line. Over 600 cars. Everything from a 1914 Chevy to a Ferrari. I counted 41 trailers in the lot. Of course some probably parked at the WallyWorld 5 miles away and drove from there. One dude drove his 57 Fairlane in from Washington state to visit his sister and didn't know about the show til he got here. Won the prize for most miles driven to the show with no argument from anybody.

Wow, thanks for all the pictures! I was partial to the '67 GTX. It looked like a few of the cars were built by Chip Foose, being they were completely customized from inside to out.

I really don't think that Hot Rods, Antiques, Classics and Customs will ever go away. This is the only hobby that continues to grow every year. Maybe next year I can make a planned trip down!
