I hope everyone is ready for winter
It's cold out there and only going to get worse. I did get anti-freeze in all the cars. That's a plus.

You all get no sympathy complaining about cold weather.

You should head up here for some ice racing! That would be a great scroungers event.

Re: I hope everyone is ready for winter
It hasn't been cold here yet. There was a light frost last Saturday morning but the sun took care of that in no time. Junkyard Jeff and I spent the day walking around Stark's hunting for something worth having but didn't find much. There were some good looking walnuts around one of the cars and Junkyard Jeff got a shifter rod for his '55. It was a nice day to be out raoming around. We might get a couple of more good weekends if we're lucky. How far south are you in FLA Chris?

I have a buddy that is from Brainerd, up in the mid state. He used to talk about how much fun ice racing is.
He lived here for three or four years before he went home for Christmas. When I dropped him off at the airport here it was in the 40's. When he got to the Twin Cities it was about 20 below and falling. He got back and said the heat about killed him here at first but there was NO WAY IN H*E*L*L he was miving back home.

I'm in central Fl. in a little town called Geneva, sometimes it does get down in the low 50s here at night in the winter, but once the sun comes up we are in the high 70s to low 80s. The trade off is they say the summers are brutal. But I have 20 acers in the middle of nowhere with a 6000 acer lake and the St. Johns river in my back yard. My house sets way back and all my neighbors are way up. It the kind of place where everyone minds their own business (unlike my last house).....WOOHOO. Now all I have to do is get my garage built, and I'm in business. (Sorry to hijack the thread)

Chris55, I have family located in your area (DeLand, Orlando, Davenport, and Haynes City). Weather is extremely nice in that area.

At least they are out of the weather. Must be nice to have that kind of room.
