Making Offers

Post by JRiggs on November 20th 2011, 5:36 pm

I'm not the type to make an offer on someone else parts etc. etc.
I usually try to find the part new then go from there. Other times I just dont even bother with trying to buy etc. If my offer is to low I dont want look like a$$ or a cheap skate. :)

So what does everyone else do and put into consideration.

research what your buying, is it in line, or way off...if in line, work to get better, if cheap already, ask why.....if way higher ask why...if you compare apples to apples....never be afraid to ask, but be fair...That's what John Marx says....the Bagel man....

Tell them you can't buy it and sell it both.

I don't make offers. Everyone has a starting price. If they won't give you one then they are just fishing for money. Walk away until they give you the number that's in their head or pass on what they have. That's my rule...

kinda like benny in that, I don't price another mans stuff, alway say , well if it 5 bucks we'll talk, but if ya want 500, I'm out of here...they then will throw out a number....or if I know it smothing I can buy anywhere, for 100 buck, I throw out 40, you can always go up, you never can down down....and Brice Williams whom I learned alot by listening to, said "there is NO DEAL, that you have to have" or your already on the losing side of haggeling...
