SBC heads are SBC heads. They all interchange. They have different CC's a stuff as well as different size valves but I'm not sure they made heads just to 2B engine. I may be wrong so maybe someone else can chime in. Either way they will still work.(bolt on)

Some cast #'s were exclusive to 4bbl's, and some to 2bbl's!!
Some, not all 4 bbl heads had different sized intake, and or exhaust runners!! Most of the time when you're asked that question, the asker just doesn't know what he's talking about!!

4 bbl heads did have a tendency to have larger valves also!!

I'm wondering. I know I'm confused. Always been a Ford guy but even I know you can't slap your favorite Edelbrock on any ole set of heads and expect them to perform. Suspect

I don't think SBC heads will fit your Ford. Maybe if they're 2bbl heads with the smaller valves

My son-in-law pulled a 302 out of a car to go in his truck. Put it on one of my engine stands and rolled it over next to the 390. Looked like one of those scale model things, so he moved it to the other side of the shop. lol!

The old big block I had in my old Ford sure would sing. It was a pretty heavy car but at 7000 that old thing sounded about like a small block. It cost a small fortune back then but was worth it. You could almost buy a house back then for what I had in that old thing.
