Bowling Green HHR 2012 June 14-15-16

Anybody going, thinking of getting a crowd together at least for a day or two.....

I'm sorta planning on going. Depends on how much I owe the IRS and a few pals from out west. There's some fellows I know that are planning on coming to race nostalgia super stock. If you're going and never been, the best deal is to camp. That way you don't have to fight the traffic on the one lane in and the one lane out. Madonna and I have been there quite a few times. Had a great time even with the rain, the heat, and the poison ivy.

I'll be going unless something major happens at home. Helps to only be 35 miles away!

I'll bet. Madonna and I met up with you there the other year for credentials. I think that's the year we were in the Mercury and camped by the poison ivy. It was hot as *** and they lost the power to the campgrond so everybody that had air in their camper/RV was as hot as we were in the tent or maybe hotter. LOL

I might try to make it this year.

That's the only way to do Beech Bend.

Last year it rain a whole lot. I hope this year is better. Don't think I could stand camping down there. Mosquitos might be thick around the creek.

They surprisingly aren't that bad.

The last time I was at Beech Bend was in 2003 for the NMRA Ford Nationals. I didn't camp though, I wimped out and spent the weekend at a Motel off of the exit.

I will be there again.. Keeping cool with our Box fan and garden hose...lol Look for the red 64 Pushing off a cool little altered we been building, or Hunt Family Farms FED..

Hunt Family is up here in Franklin. They had their nostalgia front motored fuel dragster a the Rebel Run and the Blacktop Bash.

Tom is a great guy funny as hell...

Yeah, I think he and Bill Lininger had some sort of connection.
