Curious what you would do?

Post by RebStew on February 7th 2012, 8:25 pm

Just thinking about the 54. I have to get the 27 done before I mess with it so I have plenty of time to figure it all out. Just wondering what you guys would do with the hood? Should I remove the front emblem and the center strip of the hood for a very clean look or leave it on? Below are some pics to help you make up yur mind.

I like the white one myself. Smooth with a litte chrome. I wonder if a old slimmer front bumper would match up with the grill?

I'm with Brownie. If you want to do what's been done, I like the white. Wink

Although you do not have the below Grill, I do like the way the 54 has the clean look, as well as the pin striping and especially the wheels. I could actually see Amy driving a truck similar as this one on a cruise. I seen this one on HAMBs site.

Ditch the chrome and the strip, but peak the hood.

That's the ticket. I don't know which way to go. I like the smooth, no chrome, emblem defunked way but it's not a show truck or even a mild custom with flare. It's going to be a work truck. Due to some issues with the bed that came with the truck I may even run a flatbed on it. Not sure yet but it's going to be used to haul junk. Engine blocks, tires, ect ect... I'm just not sure if the dechrome version would look better for the style rig I'm going to build. Maybe the mix of the two would work??? I have some time to figure it out. It won't be touched for a month or so. Have to clear the garage of other projects Very Happy

Heck, if it's going to be a work truck, keep it stock!
