40th Annual Auto Parts Swap Meet

REMEMBER: This is our 40th year for the Miami Valley Region Auto Parts Swap Meet. Sunday Februrary 12th 2012 at the Clark County Fairgrounds, Springfield, Ohio. Be sure to visit the MVVCCA booth for some great information. Get there early because there will a lot of good parts and we will are always busy. We open at 7am. John is this all Ford or everything? How big is it?

Put on by the Chevrolet club, but always a little of everything, not the normal HUGE Springfield Swap, all indoor...

This is a smaller swap but I usually have some good finds when I am there. The VCCA guys are very welcoming and hospitable. It's a good time. Anyone planning on going?

I may go up. Matter what tonight brings. I haven't been able to sleep. I crash out at 5:30 or 6 in the morning. If I can get to bed early I'm going to try to go.

I usually never bring anything home but get to talk to people I have not seen since late summer,stopped by on the way home to look at a friends project which is a 41 Hupmobile roadster p/u made to look like a Cord which should be on the road this summer.

Amy and I did buy anything big. A few small things we needed. It was good to meet up with everyone today. John, Jeff, and Benny. On the way home we stopped to get something to eat in Kettering so we stopped in on Doug Ice for a few minutes. Good day but my sleep was so screwed up I came back here and took a 3 hour old man nap.

Yeah, that was a real surprose when I opened the front door!

In 41 Hupmobile used a Cord body with different front sheet metal and RWD which he had a cowl and a couple rough front doors,he made it accept a Cord hood and grille and used a 36 International bed and the back of a 47 to 52 Chevy cab. Its on a Dakota chassis with a 46 ford front suspension and a 403 Olds motor and saginaw 4 speed,I will get pics when its done and should look like a fenderless Cord roadster p/u when its finished. It was built with all junk parts that restorers would not touch when he bought the parts many years ago.
