PArts for my new T modified project

Post by LRS30 on February 5th 2008, 3:59 pm

I'm going to need to start gathering parts for my non-traditional, fiberglass, kit car(yhea I know steel is real, and glass is for window's))I have a motor, SBC (yhea yhea blah blah blah chevy in a wanna be ford) if some one wants to give me something different then I will run that..lol I'd love to run a banger but not in my budget.. I need a manual trans to go behind that sbc engine, also looking for a cheap narrow rear, I have a couple banjo's but they are all mechanical set up at the moment, I could always modifiy to a juice set up, i've seen it done just have to find the right parts..Looking for a T radiator shell and hood top. Also looking for early to mid 80's Ford Ranger manual steering box.And the biggie a front I beam or tube axle, the more complete the better..This is not going to be a traditional style rod but a cheap fun reliable sustitute for my HArley jones....So what do you have for me, all donation's graciously accepted, lol..Ryan

I have an s10 rear end . brakes need going through. drums are froze up from sitting. a hammer would do the trick I think. I have that one rough tractor grill. you would have to do some work to straghten it out. if you didn't use it I'd want it back for wall art though. I'll have to dig for some stuff. when are you getting it? I need to set a time line to get my 36 out of the garage and bring the gasser here so you can get the T in yours. I also have an 8" ford that is down in the woods if the hill slide hasn't rolled over it. it would take two guys and some mountain climbing to get it. I also have that chrome T grill shell. I'd sell it to you what I have in it. The price tag is still on it. I'd have to look through my stash I may have some stuff to donate, sell, trade depending on what it is.

that F150 box may be good for a cowl steering jerry rigg. I've been reading through all the tech stuff I can find on the subject.

What sort of front end setup are you wanting to do? Dropped or stock axle, suicide or under frame, etc. I may be able to help you out there since I am parting with some of my stash. If you want to run a banjo rear I can set you up with juice brakes for it, as well as an open drive conversion. I have a T shell that is spoken for, but I will see if the guy is going to shit or get off the pot. Have a couple T hood tops, but I think they are both left side last time I checked. Wouldn't be too hard to make a mirror image. When you get your stuff and figure out exactly what you are wanting let me know. I might have a part or two for those old hot rod thingamajigs... Wink

I just picked up a 4" drop tube axle, hair pin's and a soon to be shipped spring, that is set up for 49-54 Chevy spindles.. So I can scratch that off the list, look's like I'm looking for 49-54 spindle/brake set-up now....Plus all the other stuff thats on the previous list, so whatcha got...I also need a cheap 4 barrel carb (qudra-junk bolt pattern) or a manifold carb/carb's set-up depending on the price, SBC stuff, header flanges,..
