I have got to post a pic of a model that I did years ago, it is a 53 Ford sitting just like that (but the model is a hardtop), with the rear wheelwells cut out just like that, and yes I put in a DeSoto engine in it. Holy shit is it a close replica.

It was cool when LRS asked me to come check out your board, I saw the pic of his Chevy & figured it couldnt hurt, Was told "SAY WHAT YA WANT", Apperantly thats not true cus i made one opinion statment and everyones Pantys got all bunched up.

Cus it aint Painted yet ?.....
Why paint something that needs a few changes done that will require welding & cuting for clearance.
