Theres a fellow locally that has a Mercedes engine in a '32 Roadster but it just looks like a run of the mill small block. I waited until he left and it had a little higher pitch than an American V8. I figure it must have a shorter stroke but it didn't have all that red conglomeration on the top. What's with all of that?

I'll bet some of those things sound wierd (at least to us over here. I'd love to hear that Maserati powered thing wind up. Aren't those a small displacement engine?
