Well, here is my addition. My family has been going through some tough times with the business not doing so well, and that inturn is reflecting on other things, so on and so on... So, I decided to get something that was a constant reminder to me of what I need to be totally focused on

All nice work, but I never got the conection between GOD?JESUS? and tattoo's I was always taught that it was against the bible to deface your body which is according to the bible a temple in which GOD/JESUS resides.. HEll who knows, they have changed the 10 comamndments to be more PC, let priests get away with molestation, I guess it is not really meant to mean anything anymore. So I guess that the powers that be accept body mods as a sign of christian faith now..What do I know I'm a lonely Catholic...lol

I don't mean to make a religious debate here. This is not my intention. If this gets out of hand I would ask the moderators to take this off.

I went through a lot of study before I got my first tattoo because I grew up thinking they were wrong. I really liked them and so instead of taking what I heard from others I did a lot of research. Being a Christian I went and studied the place where everyone says it's wrong to get them, the Bible, to find what the Bible says.

Instead of me trying to write it all here check this link out. I did a lot more research but this page sums up the conclusion that I came to before I got my first tattoo.

http://www.sacredink.net/tattoo_and_the_bible/

This is my personal conviction. I don't put it on anyone, nor do I judge anyone who feels like tattoos are wrong. (Nor does this post or link reflect anything associated with the forum or the Scroungers car club) Please don't think I'm trying to argue, just wanted to share my perspective in light of LRS30's comments because this side usually doesn't get shared. It's usually just either, it's wrong...or I've got one. But never, "Ok you have one, why do you feel it's ok."

You are right, there is teachings that tell you not to deface your temple... but... this is how I look at it.... My body is going to stay here on earth when I pass to be with my Lord. And if I feel I need a small subtle reminder of what my Lord did for me and inbed it into my skin then that's something honorable for His glory. And I refer to "the body" as my mind and heart... and my physical self is just to do what my mind and heart desire for God for Him. But if you would go to an old geaser and ask him what he thinks.... OH NO!!!!
