Newport car show, Alexandria car show and more

Today we got some of the guy together to try to support the Newport Car Show. To say it was a flop is an understatement! There were a few car but from what I hear after we left it folded up pretty quick. Here a few pics.

The band was not what a car show should have had. wrong music..

I talked to this guy for a few minutes. It was the better part of Newport show. He said he was in a car club in Covington nice guy and a pretty cool car.

Chad told me that there was another car show out in the county so we packed up and headed south. The drive out was pretty cool. I love the look on peoples faces when the older cars go creeping by them. The counties car show was much better. We made our own spot to park and just hung out. Ran into a few old friends I haven't seen in a while and seen some new hot rods I haven't seen.

This was my favorite I think and one for Junk Yard Jeff.

I had a good time at the County Car Show and look forward to the next one they put on. Our day still wasn't over though. We blew the cob webs off the cars doing some ridge running on the back roads and ended up at The Dairy Bar in Silver Grove. This is the place we will be cruising to on our next cruise. Here is Riggs snapping pics.

We had some good food and ice cream.

We left there and headed back toward Newport. Johns GTO lined up with the 34 Dodge for a quick 1/4 mile run. I'm not sure if Jonathan will be the same riding shot gun with me. He didn't speak the rest of the way home.
We hung out at my house till late and when The Skirt got off work we ended up down at Gold Star. Other than John and Lori everyone else had split from there and that left John to help me push the 34 Dodge into the garage when I ran out of gas a half a block from my house.. :king:
All in all it was a great and very long eventfull day!!! Man I'm beat!

I asked if ya wanted me to follow? With that big of a gas tank you could of made it to Cali.
